Two New 500m Divers From Undone

A couple of new dive models from Indie brand Undone caught our eye recently and with 500m of resistance on offer, plus loads of lume, for under $400, these are great value.

The average benchmark these days on everyday divers is about 300m, so 500m gives you some extra cover and the Aqualume model also has full lume across the dial. The Aquadeep just has lume on the hands, markers and bezel, still plenty though.

Both feature titanium 43mm cases, which feature a helium escape valve too, so yes, these are pro level dive watches. Sapphire crystal front and back as well, although given that the movement is the dull NH34 from Seiko we think Undone should have gone full metal on the back, there’s little to admire in terms of visual beauty with the Seiko auto movements in general.

Love the chunky winding crown and the big 3,6 and 9 on the segmented dial. We like the white dial better than the black dial version of the Aquadeep, plus there is a range of silicone rubber straps to choose from. Orange and yellow are good for underwater adventure, easy to see.

The Aqualume has a white dial only, with that full glow at night vibe. Same case material, width, depth rating etc. Black or white straps, no other colours although you could easily add your own of course.  Same retail at $395 plus UK import/VAT on top.

Still amazing value compared to any Swiss 500m dive watch with a helium valve howver, definitely worth a look.
