New MHD SC is a Dashboard Delight

A new watch from MHD is always worth a look. The UK based Indie brand has taken inspiration from the classic car designs of the 1970s with the new SC DLC, which has a Miyota auto movement inside a 42mm case. Sapphire crystal front and back, plus that dashboard clocks styling, power reserve indicator and knurled crown detail is really luring us in. It captures the motorsport vibe for sure although matt black watch cases aren’t everyone’s cuppa tea.

The SC has a three-piece 316 L Stainless steel chassis case design now featuring a black DLC coated finish to the whole case including the knurled central barrel.  Sapphire crystal glass with a 5mm bevel edge and AR coating (anti-reflective) compliments the design perfectly. It’s a limited edition of just 100 pieces and each is numbered. Loving the classic Rally type strap and the QR lug pins too, in case you fancy a switch to a bracelet.

Only thing we would change are the number of screws on the case and bezel, plus that date window could be a tad bigger.

It’s on pre-order at £580 for a while, so have a look at the MHD site if you fancy it.
