Hamilton has launched a 41mm case diameter version of its Khaki Frogman diver. The all-rounder timepiece has 300m of resistance and features the H10 80 hour automatic movement. Plus it comes in steel bracelet or rubber strap options. The RRP is £1120 either way, so we say get the bracelet and buy an aftermarket silicone strap if you do venture underwater. The new watch makes a more compact choice than the 45mm Frogman for those with slim wrists.
It’s up against competition from plenty of Indie dive watch brands, plus the Tissot Seastar is another rival. This features pretty much the same Swiss movement inside, 300m depth rating and it retails at £695. And looks better. Yeah we aren’t really selling the dream of Khaki Frogman ownership here are we?
Here’s the word from Hamilton;
“The Khaki Navy Frogman Automatic pays tribute to its military roots, maintaining the strong DNA of its predecessor. The newest versions are housed in a 41mm case enhanced with a unidirectional bezel featuring raised numerals and indexes for additional grip. Plus, the watch’s screw-down crown is protected by a robust bridge-shaped crown guard to ensure its 30 bar (300m) water-resistance.”
