How Rare Do You Like Your Watches?

A pure one off by George Daniels or Roger Smith would really be something to own for sure, but for mere mortals with less than a million to spend a limited edition of 20 pieces by Weiss is worth a look.

The titanium field watch features a blue dial, 38mm wide case and is hand made in the USA. Inside the lightweight case there’s a Weiss Cal 1005 movement, which is automatic and has a 42 hour power reserve. Comes on a Horween leather strap. Optional engraving too.

Being hand assembled this one retails at $2500, so it’s a true collectors item, you aren’t going to see many of these around. The only thing that puts us off is the old school pocket watch dial layout with the sub-dial at 6 o’clock. For us, we would rather buy something like an anOrdain with its vitreous enamel dial which might not be so rare, but has a more modern look.
