It’s been away for a while but the classic blue and red bezel Torgoen T43 is back in stock and we think it makes a great everyday watch; eye-catching primary colours, sharp design, clear numbers, chunky 44mm case width – and the price isn’t too steep either.
However, at £285 this Torgoen is up against stiff competition from Tissot, Citzen, Accurist, Seiko, Orient, Rotary and Casio, to name but a few.
Some of the rivals even have automatic movements, compared to the Swiss Ronda quartz inside the T43. The Torgoen has a sapphire crystal, choice of steel bracelet or silicone strap, plus screwdown crown and lots of lume on the hands and markers. It all gives the T43 some cred, but many will opt for a Seiko 5 at about £200 instead.
It’s a shame the T43 cannot make the cut at about £200 as well because this really would be a contender for holiday snorkel adventures, all weather activities and more.
