Draken Field Watch Project is Nearing Completion

NZ based indie watch brand Draken, is getting close to finalising their first Field watch. The Aoraki – which is the Maori name for Mt Cook – is going to be under 40mm across, affordable and assembled in NZ, says the company.

Prototype pics show a chunky steel case which will house the Miyota 82 series automatic movement. Dials will all be black, with four slightly different variations on the trad field watch layout. Sub-dial at 6 o’clock, plus plenty of lume. To keep the retail price down it won’t come with a bracelet, just two strap options. Solid caseback too.
