Engineer III Outlier: Beautiful Remix of Rolex/Tudor Elements

The Ball Engineer series are an impressive line of Swiss timepieces.  There are Submariner lookalikes, Triple Dates, Moonphases and more – it’s diverse and there’s something for everyone in the Engineer line-up.

The Engineer Outlier has evolved into something that’s a clever blend of Tudor BB and  Rolex Sub/GMT homage – and that’s a good thing. Big cyclops, COSC accuracy, 200m depth, 904 grade steel case and 1000 Gauss resistance to magnetism as well. It has the very useful GMT hour hand too.

So yeah, you get those lovely Submariner and GMT II features for loads less cash. You just don’t get Rolex bragging rights down the golf club. There are black or blue dials and we love the blue one best, just stands out better. Nice details? New ceramic bezel for 2022 is a cool touch. That big date window plus the orange tipped GMT hand just shout tool watch for us. It’s classic styling and it works.

No, we aren’t on commission, we just know value when we see it.

Here’s the word from Ball;

The Engineer III Outlier embraces solitary adventure into the toughest terrains. Our Manufacture GMT Caliber RRM7337-C beats with COSC precision and allows you to traverse and connect more territory.
The 904L stainless steel deflects the harshest knocks while micro gas tubes set exploration free in total darkness. A tool designed to trek further into the wild, revealing what each of us is truly made of. Plus, the Engineer III Outlier comes with new dial colours and new material. Limited to 1000 pieces each, the latest additions are now available for pre-order until 9 November 2022 at an exclusive price starting at £2,380.
We reckon that is cheap for a COSC level Swiss watch, whichever way you look at it.
