The Red Arrows model has been a longstanding success for Citizen in the UK market. Not hard to see why. The aerobatic team are admired by all generations and the watches tap into that love of UK aviation skill and engineering excellence.
The latest Skyhawk AT limited edition has the usual solar cell movement ( usually good for about 12-15 years), plenty of worldtimer detail on the dial and syncs with atomic clock precision as regards timekeeping. There’s also a slide rule on the bezel, in case you need to work out some complex average time/speed calculations.
It is a big watch at 46mm across, so those with smaller wrists might think it’s just a bit too far.
We also think the dial is too busy, with various digital dispaly info as well as conventional hands and sub-dials. Maybe a slimmed down Red Arrows, just with three hands and GMT had, could be a winner in a 42mm case?
You get a limited edition gift box as well. Retail is £695.
