The Seiko Presage is a modern classic; a dress watch that fits any occasion and needs just a slight wind and shake to get going, then keep going for a day and an evening.
Two skeleton dial variants have just been announced by Seiko and we love the burgundy coloured one the best. The other is cream by the way. Both have the 4R72 movement inside and come in a special box, which is almost jewel case standard. The way the dial has skeleton section fanning out is kinda art deco, reminds us of the vintage wireless sets, or cinema screens of the 1930s where the speaker sections fanned out.
Both of them will be limited to 5000 pieces worldwide, so yep, pretty collectable as Seiko models go.
Launch date is sometime in October, price is likely to be about £600. Yeah Seiko are price walking the Presage models up, well away from the £300-£350 cost they could be bought at just 4-5 years ago in the UK.
