Orient M-Force is A Trio of Supernature Styling

Orient is launching three new dial colours to mark the 3rd release of its M-FORCE series.

Revived in 2020 to celebrate Orient’s 70th anniversary, M-FORCE is the new flagship of the Orient Sports collection, features the tough structure of an outdoor watch and powerful styling that reflects the latest industrial design, says the Japanese brand. This latest diver model series is themed around the grandeur of the Earth, with blue of the deep sea, orange of volcanic lava, and red of hot magma reflected in each dial, further emphasising the special character of M-FORCE.

Water resistant to 200m, uni-directional bezels, plus some nice crown protection on the case, the M-Force certainly looks chunky and durable long term. Pleny of lume too, plus sapphire crystal – a feature you don’t get on many lower priced Seiko models it has to be said.

The limited edition of 2,000 pieces features a black silicon strap and comes in an exclusive box decorated in magma-inspired red, just like the watch itself.

Verdict; These have a very MOD watch feel about them, which is a good thing. The 45mm wide case might be too much for some, but it obviously adds that divers watch vibe on your wrist. The prices for existing M-Force models vary from about £250 up to £500, depending on where you buy them. Fact is, Orient are NOT officially on sale in the UK, which makes buying one a bit of a lottery as regards extra VAT/duty on top – not to mention spares or warranty issues.
