Some watches have got that summer Point Break vibe, you know, where you learn to surf on the FBI’s time and accidentally end up robbing banks and jumping out of aircraft without a parachute. Easily done.
What better accessory for that hi-octane ride than the new Zodiac Super Sea Wolf, which not only has a cool name in the shape of White Cap, but is a Swiss movement, 200m dive watch with bold colours that will impress any transgender surf shack girls who may take a shine to you.
All the classic Zodiac elements are there; jubilee link bracelet, decent water resistance, coin edged bezel, target logo on the white dial, plus a decent amount of lume on the hands and hour markers. The only downside is the £1495 price tag, which is steep for something with this spec. Fact is, there are lots of Indie brand 200m dive watches under £500 well worth looking at, many with automatic Sellita or Seiko NH35 movements.
Sad to say. we reckon you could buy two very nice watches for the cost of this Super Sea Wolf. The mid-price watch market is dead in the water, so spend your hard earned elsewhere. Or join the ex-Presidents and rob a bank…
