Luminox are an interesting watch brand, offering adventure themed timepieces at a reasonable price. It’s tough out there for mid-range watches because most people seem to want the luxury/collector stuff above 3K, or the super cheap Chinese and Indie brand homages to the rich and famous.
But Luminox has its own distinct style. Like LIV, Christopher Ward, Magrette, Yema or many others, Luminox has realised it pays to develop your own brand ID, which is all in the details. If you make something different, yet immediately recognisable, then you have a chance of surviving the coming watch cull – make no mistake, once the climate/globalist rationing legislation is railroaded through there will be a rationing of the right to manufacture and sell, anything. Cars, watches, scooters, kitchens – anything.
So NWC magazine says buy some watches now, while you are free to spend your own hard earned cash.
Let’s consider the Navy SEAL watch just launched. Tough 45mm wide steel case, with a special coating on top, for that carbon bolack look. 200m resistance is good at the sub-£600 price point, but nothing special. Love the crown protectors though, like 80s shoulder pads. Uni-directional bezel and Swiss quartz movement inside.
Part of the retail price also goes to a US Navy SEALS charity too, which is a good cause. Most governments shamefully neglect those who serve when they’re injured, or suffer hardships later in life, let’s be honest.
Rubber strap or canvas NATO style.
