Citizen Nighthawk: Get The MilSpec Look Every Day

Pure military watches can often be too basic, too functional, like say CWC models. Plain dials, big numbers, good water resistance.  Seiko do a similar thing with their Field watch, and if you want to splash out, you can buy a homage to the Seiko from IWC which costs £4500.

Nice.

But somethimes, it’s cool to have that Bear Grylls outward bound style for a reasonable cost, plus some dial appeal beyond big lume numbers and a big crown, which you can operate while wearing your fave sniper gloves…

Step forward Citizen, who have fitted the sturdy Eco-Drive movement to this Nighthawk model. Nice camouflage effect,  200m resistance, tachymetre track and sturdy knurled pushers and crown.

By the way, does anyone still own a Honda CB650/750 Nighthawk motorcycle?

You could consider the Endeavor model, which has a rotating compass feature. Slightly cheaper at £349 and we  like the white dial version best.

New Endeavor has nice cyclops feature, plus a handy compass for those long treks across remote areas.

OK, I digress, here is the blurb from Citizen and the watch retails for £379 in the UK.

Soar to new heights with the new Nighthawk timepiece from the Promaster Air Collection.

Featuring a black ion-plated stainless steel case and bracelet and a deep green camo style dial, this timepiece is packed with advanced functions including a 1/5 second chronograph that measures up to 60 minutes, 12/24 hour time and a tachymeter. It also has luminous hands and markers, a safety fold-over clasp with push buttons, and is water resistance to 200 metres.

The sporty men’s watch is a necessary accessory for adventure and style seekers alike. Featuring Citizen’s proprietary Eco-Drive technology that is powered by any light and never needs a battery.
