Tourbillon watches are fascinating to look at; that spinning wheel-within-a-wheel system in minature, whirling away. Great invention by Breguet, especially when you consider the limits of late 18th century technology when fabricating metal parts.
So this project by HK based Aision is well worth a look if you fancy a tourbillon but don’t want to pay Swiss prices. At around £560 on pre-order it is affordable. So what do you get?
A Hangzhou movement powers this model, with some tweaks says Aision. One thing you do notice from the promo materials is that the rear caseback view isn’t as pleasant as the dial side. The bridge work is a little utilitarian we think.
There is also a Miyota automatic variant of the same watch case, strap and dial options.
The tourbillon is available in green, white, black or grey. More info here.
