Omologato has launched a range of 34mm watches, which capture the motorsport vibe whilst remaining traditionally old school small. Now lots of ladies like a 34mm and lots of gents watches from before 1970 were this small too, in fact your NWC editor owns a nice Accurist which is just 33mm wide.
These new watches from Omologato have more visual punch than a slimline Rotary, Accurist or Benson from days of old however. With bright race paintwork and contrasting hand colours they offer that 70s Le Mans or Silverstone styling, plus we like the detailing on the stitched straps too – very Paddy Hopkirk.
At £340 these are expensive quartz watches and we aren’t gonna lie, there are plenty of cheaper Indie/Kick motorsport themed watches that are less money.
But not many offer a 34mm diameter these days, most rivals are bigger at about 40-42mm.
Colours are Le Mans blue, BRG and a great blue/red combo. More details here.
