Rotary watches UK website has a Sale on right now, with the price of their Les Originales quartz and Tradition automatics dropping to reasonable levels.
The Tradition auto in gold tone and steel is now £273, down from £600. It is a classic dress watch, 41.5mm across, clear dial design with the date at 6 o’clock. Quite slim at 12mm high, so a very good all-rounder for the money.
Do they have actual Swiss auto movements inside the case? Cannot say for sure, the general feeling amongst watch fans is that Miyota is the engine of choice for cheaper Rotary automatic models, but as we haven’t disassembled one we don’t know.
The Les Originales quartz models are rediced to around £175, which isn’t too bad for a Ronda powered quartz watch.
Just one problem with the Rotary GB Sale, you can buy Rotary automatics cheaper at Francis Gaye jewellers, where they retail from £192. Although the Tradition model wasn’t in their discount line-up.
