Wainer Just Popped Up On Our Radar

The Indie Swiss brand sector is always worth a look. You might think that you can get the same quality from a Singapore or China based brand, but let’s be honest the words `Swiss Made’ still carry some weight when it comes to resale time.

So we checked out the Wainer website today as we saw a tweet about new beginnings. Actually, we like the Wainer retro style chronographs best from their range. Blue dial quartz, or black dial automatic, both look good.

Case diameter is 42.5mm, automatic movement which could be the ETA 7750, which was used in an older Wainer model – we aren’t sure on that one. If so, then a price point starting at 762 euros is very competitive, it’s slightly more for the Milanese mesh bracelet variant by the way.

Sapphire crystal, month, year and day all on the dial too. It has a classic look we think rivals the Hamilton Intra-Matic for a huge chunk of change less on the retail.

The quartz models use Ronda swiss movements too.
