Zodiac’s Super Sea Wolf Gets ISO Tested

Zodiac’s Super Sea Wolf is now ISO certified to 300m, which doesn’t sound exciting but let’s elaborate a bit.

ISO certs are a voluntary thing, a watch manufacturer can claim all kinds of depth resistance for dive watches, but the ISO benchmark is an agreed set of testing procedures. So it’s a bit like NCAP crash rating on cars, or stress testing metals for industrial use, construction etc.

The ISO tests also include stuff like condensation testing, where the watch is basically put inside a sweaty steam room for a couple of days, and shock resistance. The watch is dropped about 1 metre, and that is just over three feet in old imperial measures, onto a hard surface.

So there y’go. The ISO approved Super Sea Wolf, in all kinds of bright colours for 2022 as well. Nice work Zodiac.
