Bulova Curv Chronograph Spotted at Half Price

Do you like the idea of a curved watch case? Well Bulova have just the thing and it’s a world’s first from Citizen, the owners of Bulova, so expect a few Citizen models with a curvaceous case later in 2021. We also spotted one Bulova Curv for sale with a huge 50% off the RRP.

Here’s the word from Bulova;

The world’s first curved chronograph movement from Bulova features high-performance quartz technology with 262 kHz vibrational frequency for precise accuracy. The new Curv model is a five-hand chronograph, in a grey stainless steel case with black and transparent brown dial, grey hands and markers. Plus it also boasts anti-reflective curved sapphire crystal. There is a titanium case option by the way.

With an exhibition case back, featuring a screw-back case, plus brown leather strap and double-press deployment closure this is the usual high quality watch from Bulova. It is physically quite big at 44mm and we aren’t sure about the see-thru caseback when it comes to quartz movements – do you really need to see those plates? The Curv has a certain military, almost tool watch vibe in plain colours, but other options are a bit more dress watch.

There are two lovely blue dial options, which we like better than the utilitarian grey or black. H Samuel have some Curv models in their Sale with 25% off the steep £699 asking price. Even better, Beaverbrooks have a black PVD case/bracelet model, with unique purple markers on the dial reduced to just £284 right now.
