Singapore brand Aquatico have some great value watches on their website, in fact it’s hard to argue with a 1000m rated watch for six hundred US dollars. Especially when it has a touch of the square case Bell & Ross vibe. Inside you’ll find the trusty SW200 Sellita movement, with a bronze case, plus a ceramic bezel insert. You have to admit that is a high spec for this kind of price.
Add on details like tritium superlume on the hands and hour markers, plus extra lashings of lume on the bezel, and you have a striking design that will get fellow watch enthusiasts asking plenty of questions. The one big question is; would I dive to 1000 metres with this watch on and trust my life to its timekeeping? Hmm, maybe, I’ve got a bit cautious as I’ve aged, plus I don’t have the budget for Abyss movie type adventures to be fair.
If you’re on a tight budget then the same watch is available with a Seiko NH35 automatic movement inside. But for an extra 80 quid or so we would splash out on the Sellita engine. Yolo n all that jazz. More info here at Aquatico watches.
