Dan Henry 1962 Gets A Gold/Black JPS Edition

The latest from Dan Henry watches, famous for their motorsport inspired designs,

We are releasing the black and gilt edition of the Dan Henry 1962 racing chronograph – a new version of the 1962 we all love, but with an extra level of luxury.

Our new 1962 edition features a matte black dial with gold indexes, lettering, and numbers, along with gold-plated pushers, crown, and bezel. The date version of the new 1962 chronograph has numbers inscribed in gilt and the 31st day in red – a reminder to adjust the date during months with 30 days.

The chronograph movement is the same advanced Seiko Mecaquartz caliber VK63 that powers our other 1962 models.

Our new edition of the 1962 racing chronograph ships to you with two straps in new colors: black croco grain and brown in a racing style. The straps include fast-changing spring bars that add versatility for wear day or night.

Black and gold dials are called by some collectors “John Player Specials” because of the colors of the JPS Lotus Formula 1 cars driven by the legendary drivers Ayrton Senna and Mario Andretti. Many bikers of a certain age will also recall the JPS Norton Commando race bikes, and he Norton rotary racers of the early 90s, which showed such incredible promise for a season or two.

The new black and gilt Dan Henry 1962 racing chronograph is ready to ship.
