Debate on the US Second Amendment is very topical right now, as many cities see riots, organised civil unrest and inevitably, some shootings as tensions rise.
Election politics aside, in a country like the USA it can be a good idea to arm yourself to defend your family and property, when the nearest law enforcement officer may be 40 minutes car ride away. For those who treasure the right to defend their homes, businesses and families and bear arms, these new watches from Rvlvr make the correct statement.
The AD6 is a natural update to the AD5 model, and the response has been very good – it has already been funded on Kickstarter, took one hour!
With classic pistol barrel styling these 44mm case watches feature a mineral glass see-thru caseback, Seiko NH35 automatic movement, plus sapphire crystal on the front. There are three AD6 models, with the subtle gray dial one being our fave.
We think Dirty Harry may well like that dial best too.
There is a 30mm depth rating, with a helium valve fitted too. Serious function, as well as JCB digger tough styling on these models. Range of rubber, leather or steel bracelets available, 22mm lug fitment.
The only thing we aren’t keen on is the sticky-out winding crown, which may dig into your hand, depending on your wrist size and the job you do of course. Otherwise another great spec watch for about £230 brand new. What’s not to like?
At $299 on the early bird deal, you can’t fault this watch for value. Plus, you can get an AD6 and a Rvlvr A7S Skeleton watch and travel pouch for $409.
