Kickstarter Watches: AUDRIC Offers 500m Depth, SW200 Movt, SuperLume

AUDRIC is a watch start-up based in Singapore, which is a world centre for watch design and manufacturing – bet you didn’t know that? Now AUDRIC do their assembly in Neuchatel, Switzerland which out them on our radar here at The Northern Watch Co.

AUDRIC has launched its first Swiss Made watch on Kickstarter, featuring that trusty modern workhorse movement, the Sellita SW 200-1 movement. The SeaBorne 500 features layers of Superluminova, textured dial, polished hour markers and printed AUDRIC Logo.

The hands are Rhodium plated which gives that extra shine and durability. The lume on the dial, hands, and bezel is a heavy dose of BGW9 that glows a blue all night long. The watch is absolutely free from harmful coatings like nickel say AUDRIC, and the dial also has colour indicated depth gauge for visual reference, to cope with light refraction underwater and make it that bit easier to check how many minutes of air you have left.

We like this green edition. Just saying.

There’s a Double Domed Sapphire Crystal Glass, with multiple layers of anti-reflective coating – the crystal is 4.5 mm thick in the center and tapers down to 4.3 mm at the sides by the way, enhancing water reesistance. There is a unidirectional, 120 click bezel and the watch is tested and rated at 500m depth.

Yes, this one has a screwdown crown as you would expect, which is placed at 3 o’clock, etched with the logo of the brand and filled with BGW9 lume. A helium escape value is housed at 9 o’clock too.

The Seaborne case is made of 316 L stainless steel and has an engraving of a Sea Turtle which symbolizes strength, endurance and agility, says AUDRIC. Lug width is 22mm, so you have a huge choice of aftermarket straps and bracelets if you like. There’s a pre-production price of US$600 and delivery is expected around August – much depends on how things return to normal after Covid-19 of course regarding international shipping times.
